Steemit is More than An Incentivised Social Media: Giving a Good Presentation on Steemit Can greatly Help in Member Retention
I have been wondering why a lot of people have still not joined Steemit despite the incentives it offer to users for their effort. There is only one thing that comes to my mind when I begin to ponder over this, "do they see Steemit as stringent?", Well there could be many other reasons why people don't want to join steemit which will be a topic for discussion another day.
Today I would like to touch on how we can help increase member retention on Steemit. I believe member retention is an important subject we all need to look at if we are interested in Steemit's growth. A lot of people join Steemit and after one or two post leave, this always lead to many accounts created but remaining dormant.
To deal with this issue we need to take a critical look at how we promote Steemit to people. Our promotions shouldn't just center on rewards that Steemit gives but what users can benefits apart from the rewards. If we make Steemit look like a money making site or platform we will end up having frustrated newcomers who will eventually leave when their hopes of making money are not met.
We can do a better job for Steemit if we let people know about the educative and informative part of Steemit, how they can explore range of opportunities that exist on the Steemit platform and how they can make the most out of it.
Steemit should be presented to people as a learning platform; a wonderful platform that nurture great talents and skills, a platform that brings the best in people and above all a platform that gives people the opportunity to invest in Steem for a lifetime. Let's do a great job to help retain people for the steemit community.
