Community Building on the Blockchain - Interview with the Founder of Discussions.app
I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Jacques Whales, the CEO and co-founder of Discussions.app – a new platform being built on the EOS blockchain that is designed to make community building easier in the crypto space.
It was really interesting to learn more about what they are up to and how they eventually want to be a multi-chain platform that can help unite people from all sectors of the cryptoverse.
In this interview, we chat about how what they are building is different than other decentralized social sites like Steemit and the upcoming Voice. They view themselves less as a social media platform and more of a community-building site.
We also chat about their native token ATMOS, and how users can earn various tokens through their platform. I made my Discussions.app account a few days ago and am excited to poke around and explore it more myself! Thanks for introducing me (and others) to Discussions.app. I've never heard about it. It sound very interesting.
I would be happy to learn what will bring value to ATMOS. It's easy to reward users with tokens and surely it's very important how inflation will be redistributed. However the most important question I've: where demand for that token would be coming from?
Any idea?

Thank you so much for checking out our interview! That's a great question about what drives demand/value for their token. Based on my conversation - I'd guess that usage of the platform will help drive demand - but let me throw that question to him and see what he says. :)
