Anderlecht vs Waasland-Beveren
This season there is quite a big gap between the top teams and pretty much all the others. Anderlecht has the potential to be amoung the top teams but simply is not there yet it's it's impossible to estimate them as one currently. They barely won their cup match against a team that is struggling in 2nd division and had no chance whatsoever against Club Brugge last week. At the moment Anderlecht is still searching and this is fully reflected into the line. Both Kompany and Saelemaekers are injured while they now have a real striker (Roofe) who is fit. It still remains to be seen what he can do. Waasland Took a deserved point last week and has been playing better under their new coach. The main question for this match to me is if this will be the break-out win for Anderlecht. My feeling says it might very much be the case, but the facts simply don't point toward it in any kind of way. I would not be surprised to see goals and do expect both to score. Early odds on 1x2 bookies (who are totally lost when it comes down to line-setting if the asians don't have offers out) were way too high on the over and BTS and I managed to get some on those.
Over 3.5 @ 3.25 (now 2.43) and
Both To Score @ 2.29 (now 1.85) are the ones I managed to get on. As tempted that I am to go with Anderlecht -1.25 @ 1.8+, I will wait it out and see what the match brings live.
Standard vs Charleroi
Standard is an all or nothing team and it's almost impossible to say in advance what it will be making it nearly impossible to take bets on their matches pre-game. Charleroi is similar to last season a very annoying team betting wise since they rarely dominate and strike on the counters which is their favorite game. They have a difficult time to make the play and are not bets in making comebacks which was seen last weekend at home against Stvv. My feeling against says to bet on the favorite while my more rational part says to wait it out and see how it goes. These matches are always difficult for Standard.
Oostende vs Antwerp
Oostende has shown not to be good enough the last couple of matches only taking 1 on 9. Especially against top sides they tend to have little chance and I do expect it to be similar today against Antwerp. The visitors really have a solid squad and are currently part of the Top 4 teams in the league that stand out way above all the others. (AA Gent, Club Brugge & Standard are the others). They got too comfortable in the cup match last week causing them to have to play extra time which might show today. They are also a team in transition coming from a purely defensive playstyle last season going to playing much more attacking this season. This makes them both score more goals and get more goals against. This feels one of those 1.6-1.65 type odds ouright away team where I force myself to stay away. The odds are slightly higher though which gives options and I took a small bet on
Antwerp -0.5 @ 1.840 this morning with an eye to take more live if the situation is favorable. Another interesting stat is that Oostende lost in corners at home the last 3 matches each time with a margin of 3+ corners.
