SCOTLAND / Where I Live & What I See (Article & Photographs by C. Lazarus)
I travel a lot but everybody has a home, a place no matter the weather feels warm. Every time you leave there is a deep yearning to turn back, and when you do return it just feels right. My home is Scotland. This where I live, this is where I want to raise my family and one day die I suppose. I shoot pictures here every day, whether I am just testing a lens or walking to a job or work, or out with the dogs. But I rarely share them.

Today got me thinking. Edinburgh has a huge influx of tourists every year, it is one of most beautiful cities in the world and full of unique and querky people. It is home to the books and stories of Irvine Walsh (Trainspotting, Porno etc) and much of the inspiration for Harry Potter. I could post some fascinating images of the table J.K Rowling first penned the name Hogwarts or show the stunning Castle that sits in the center of the city atop a dead volcano, but that's not really my style.

I like to take pictures of every day things. Like people, or dogs. So here is the start of a collection of street photography I've shot whilst commuting. I hope you enjoy them. And if you haven't already, visit Edinburgh.

Great shots showing the pulse of Edinburgh! I love to follow images and blogs of Scotland. I'll be home at the end of August for a month, and can't wait to get more images for my collection. Never mind that I still have hundreds still unedited on hard drives! LOL!

You take amazing photos and I love how you explain everything its like your there, I want to go travel the world one day and I love many beautiful countries but my first stop is Edinburgh I read alot and many of my books the setting is there in your city and county and I can imagine the moors and everything they talk about in the books, definitely following you I want to see more!
