I like the one with the tree best because it completes the photo.....the second one looks like it's missing something. Altho the sky is nice I think the tree grounds the photo.

    Exactly it draws the viewer into the landscape beyond. I've been watching a documentary on the old masters and how we can apply their techniques into our photography.
