Have you heard of Asguardia yet??
What is it?
Well it's not a game first off.

Well Asguardia is a space nation, which was launched in October 2016. It is officially known as The space kingdom of asguardia. It is the intention of setting up its own nation in space!!!!
It was founded by a group of scientists and is let by Dr Igor Ashurbeyeli who is the founder of Aerospace and international research centre. He is also the chairman of UNESCO's Science and Space Committee. He is also very very rich, a russian billionaire and plans to heavily invest in the project.
Why are they doing this?
From what I can gather the principle of this is to create a perfect utopia, no war, no crime no famine, to create a mirror of humanity but with no blocks of states or religions. There are 12 official languages of asguardia english is considered a working language
It is the intention for a space station to be built to orbit the earth and for Asguardians to be able to live in peace with each other, whilst being able to protect the earth and space.
I can't help but think this reminds me of the movie Elysium.
Asgardian Calendar..
It would also seem that Asgardia has its own Calender, it has 13 months of the year and each day is 28 days, it even has its own year which currently is the year Asgardia 0001. The additional month is called Asgardia which is between June and July in the Gregorian calender.
The 1st of Asgardia is known as Asgardian National Unity Day
The 5th of October in the Asgardian calender (12 of October in the gregorian calender) is Asgardia's Birthday.
The 31st of December does not exist in the Asgardian calendar and seemingly this is celebrated as year day.
Government
Asgardia Will have its own government which voting is now underway for which will be the following departments
Ministry of information and communication.
Ministry of Justice
Ministry of Science
Ministry of Citizenship
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ministry of Finance
Ministry of Trade and Commerce
Ministry of Youth and Education
Ministry of Safety and Security
Ministry of Equity and Resource
Ministry of Administrative Affairs.
The government is a democratic government and voting is underway now by the citizens of Asgardia.
Satellite
Asgardia plans to launch a satellite in September this year to orbit the earth and Citizens are being invited to upload a 100kb picture to be put into the satellite data that will orbit the Earth. This is a nano satellite which will piggy back onto a supply trip to the ISS in September. (source dailymail.co.uk)
Many experts believe that this plan will not come to fruition as there are too many obstacles in the way, primarily the main one being money

Flag, insignia, national anthem.
Voting is also underway for the Asgardian, Flag, insignia and national anthem which you can vote for online.
In my opinion a very interesting concept, but I very much doubt will happen in our lifetime, but it is good to see these people come together with a common goal.

I signed on soon after it was announced, but I haven’t paid the recently established fee for being a citizen. Not very active in the organization.
