We need to find an olive branch.

I honestly am lost for words on today's post by Justin. His list of demands shows how little he knows about the Steem blockchain and how it works. He has set ideas so he is obviously being advised by certain groups or individuals. The post was very unprofessional from someone with his supposed standing.

Finding a solution is going to be very hard and it will involve compromises that both parties don't like. Normally when something is negotiated fairly there has to be give and take.

A few of his points are not really negotiable as downvotes cannot be ruled out. We know where that will lead and having a blockchain of self voting and circle jerking with plagiarism in trending. This is a no go as far as most of us are concerned.

The 1-3 day power down isn't going to work as our reward system works over a 7 day cycle. The security blanket needs to be longer for the supposed masses that we all want joining and is a major selling point. I would be happy with one month but nothing less and that is my personal view.

Justin has 70 Million Steem so he needs to save face and get out with a profit. We need to table an offer to buy back from him at a set price over x amount of years so he comes out with a profit.

Not all of us have tons of cash lying around so why don't we have a percentage on every post go towards a pool that exchanges Steem for SBD and we pay him back. If Steem goes to $2 or $4 it doesn't matter as we have negotiated a set price.

I know I would move some Steem every week to exchange for SBD and purchase whatever I could afford to whittle his stash down. Maybe another option is to have x amount of post rewards goes towards converting to SBD to purchase weekly from him.

The only other way is to bite the bullet and sit down and find a way forward so everyone wins on a business level. Fighting between everyone has to stop and both sides need to work together. Finding a way forward is the only positive that should happen. Emotion needs to be removed and this worries me with certain witnesses right now.
