What is Going On with Crypto Advertisers and Google AdWords?

in #crypto7 years ago (edited)

It is vital for the cryptocurrency world to have healthy advertisers and anyone who breaks the law should be suspended right away. However, some advertisers using the Google AdWords to promote their business activities are getting fewer advert views.

AdWords Suspended Campaigns

Some users have witnessed a suspension of their accounts and ban of ads according to some reports. There is a major drop in the advertisements’ views that use AdWords, and after sharing the data regarding their views, some firms have experienced a decrease in views.

Apparently, the fall is associated with the idea that cryptocurrency adverts using AdWords are now more restricted than before. Even to the few adverts which are approved, they are only shown to a limited number of people as selected by region, devices and age group.

The scenario is not just occurring to one cryptocurrency enterprise, but it’s affecting several businesses and users. Some enterprises have confirmed the closure or suspension of their accounts as per this user [anas b]. Here is the explanation of the user anas b whose account was terminated. “I am encountering serious issues with my AdWords account that according to the Google team is ‘misrepresented’. Even after full analyzing of my website [www.blockobi.com], I could not get any reason for violating their policies. Our business deals with ‘Blockchain technology development’ and provides services in UAE.

After several cases of those issues, there was chitchat that Google is trying to ban cryptocurrency ads. But even after being contacted by Finance Magnates [site providing online financial trading news & research]; Google denied banning cryptocurrency or ICO enterprises and added it is Facebook that banned cryptocurrency adverts.

According to the message that AdWords sent, Google’s financial services policy doesn’t mention anything about cryptocurrency or ICOs, and crypto ads are still permitted on the company’s platform. However, the move has seen some firms shifting to other AdWords alternatives such as Coinzilla, and as the drama about AdWords continues, various firms in the sector are waiting to see a breakthrough in the crypto-related advertisement.

@holgerwerner . You are welcome.

They’re humans trying to make judgements. This opens the door to abuse and bias. Thanks for the post!

@brettcalloway Probably, they are afraid after many crypto issues. Who knows? They may follow the ban after Facebook. You are welcome.

I don't believe a word from them.
They already understand that existing websites are becoming obsolete.
