2018 Detroit NAIAS (Jan 2018) Coverage – Dodge Challenger, Hellcat, & Demon

The 2018 Detroit NAIAS was a great opportunity to see the trio of Dodge Performance Vehicles that has been captivating Mopar Muscle Car enthusiasts – the Challenger, Challenger Hellcat, and the Challenger Demon. 

This particular Black 2018 Dodge Challenger was a GT AWD, with an MSRP of $33,995, which comes with a 3.6L V6 Engine, and Automatic Transmission that delivers 305 hp, and 27-mpg highway. 

Moving up the ladder in terms of performance muscle will take you to this Grey Color Challenger Hellcat, with an MSRP starting at $71,995, which comes with a 6.2L SRT Hellcat HEMI V8 Engine that produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, that comes standard with a Manual Transmission but offers an 8-speed Automatic with paddle shifters. 

For those who still want even more power, at the very top of the performance-chain is this Red Challenger Demon, that has an MSRP of $84,995 (good luck purchasing one at that price), which comes with a 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 Engine, that delivers 808 hp, and 717 lb-ft of torque, that can achieve 0-60 in 2.3 seconds, and does a ¼-mile in 9.65 seconds. The Demon has a limited production quantity of only 3,000 vehicles.
