Lightsail is tiny CubeSat that uses the unlimited solar energy for propulsion!! It is a citizen-funded project that aims to help low-cost projects such as university projects for students education!!
Thanks to small size, don't have to carry heavy fuel tank something that enables continues acceleration!!
They have already lunch the lightsail 1 back to 2015, and now they are ready to lunch a second, the lightsail 2 will be attached to SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket!!

You need to see how happy i am seeing that we have a light sail in place. Going to such place has always required a lot of money but right now the cos is now saved. Great hunt
Sending a space craft in space incurs a huge cost it way in Millions rather would cross Billions as well. Thanks to the great innovation from planetary.org with LightSail which is Solar Sailing Spacecraft Millions of dollars can be saved and the saved amount can be used for other research activities. When you see Bill Nye doing the video you have hit 90's nostalgia, glad to see a working solar sail. Lightsail 1 and 2 and hopefully more to come and maybe one day we can do suborbital travel too or have a bunch of sails to power a sub-orbital hub and gyro station.
