Dear Diary: I Got Two Sweet Banana Spring Rolls For An Afternoon Snack 😊

My nephew is in the house and my mother is baby-sitting him while his parents are away and my mother bought some sweet banana spring rolls for each of us four my parents, myself and my nephew. But my nephew doesn't want to eat his share so I got two of these bad boys.

It is delicious because it is crunchy on the outside and sweet in the inside because of the banana. A special one is done with slivers of jackfruit inside plus bananas, it is seldom made because the expensive jackfruit is rarely seen and sold in the market.

But sometimes there is a canned jackfuit sold or as a preserve but those are far more expensive than the frsh fruit itself

Here Is How To Make A "Turon" With Some Jackfruit

Banana is high in potassium and fiber, it is good for joint pains as well particularly the raw ones of the "Saba" variety which is used for cooking or the "Turon" here. The Saba variety is very versatile variety of banana, it is relatively cheap and can be used in so many ways from viand ingredient to sweet dessert.

It can just be boiled or some people if they do not have food to eat they just boil some ripe or unripened fruit and they will eat it like some of the poorest people in this country are doing.

Anyway after eating my two Turons my mother gave me a Pineapple juice sorbet. It is just a frozen pineapple juice straight from our freezer and it is really heaven eating it with a spoon.

Meanwhile neighbors are giving us mangoes left and right.♥️
