Dialysis gets uncomfortable now which it shouldn't be the case because of the burning thirst
I prefer to drink an ice cold water everytime to effectively quench my thirst.
I am having a hard time at dialysis lately because the nurses had upped the sodium setting to high, it means that they are putting salt in the circulation of the patients and you know what happens in to the blood pressure, it goes up and that is expected but it also makes me feel damn too thirsty.
The thirst is burning ad even though I do not want to drink, I am forced to drink because it is so intense and it makes me feel so uncomfortable so much so that I begin to feel pain in my body like my back and my buttocks. I know what will happen next, my blood pressure will begin to crash.
However, there is another factor that I see why it would crash despite that my system is being cured by the high sodium and that is my weight gain not by excess water but a real mass building-up. My efforts of gaining real mass in my body whether it maybe with getting muscles or in the form of fats is a great news for me because I haven't gained weight in decades.
I first started with around fifty Kilogram of weight although after sometime my real weight back then was around forty eight Kilogram. Then after some few years it went down to forty-two, thirty-eight, and now I don't know if I am thirty-four Kilogram already because I would feel light headed already when I target less than thirty four Kilograms.
My weight before was around thirty-two and a half, then I can't seem to target it anymore because I kept on getting lightheaded near the termination time of four hours ad sometimes after three hours I am already beginning to feel it. The burning thirst will become more apparent after tow hours from which it becomes unbearable.
Now with these bouts of hypotension which the nurses call "Intradialytic hypotension" or (IDH), my request of lowering down of Sodium might not happen, they might as well put more salt in my body than to lowering it down. But if I will drink water during dialysis, I will not be able to get drained out of extra fluids and this will make me go home still heavy and also still thirsty and add more unnecessary and damaging weight because it will make my heart grow big and it is a condition called left-ventricular hypertrophy, or simply a heart enlargement. What will happen is that it will become weak until it fails to pump.
But I am gaining weight and I have to keep it that way otherwise if my weight crashes the real weight will get replaced by water and it is a bad news for my lungs. That is why maybe with this new relatively heavier weight that I have my lungs doesn't crackle as before which it does when I reach near the 35 kilogram mark. Now I might see a thirty-six kilo pre-dialysis weight and I don't know if I will be happy or not because I am reaching my goal of getting a real body mass.
But my concern was the burning thirst issue and I might not get any solution for it because of this complication of "IDH" so it might get worse and put my into the position of like other patients, bellies being bloated with water because of the same circumstances that I am also facing. That is why I used my Sauna suit yesterday so I can sweat-out as much salt and water in my body and it is really another uncomfortable solution because enduring sweating around using a hot suit for hours is not a good experience and yet I have to force myself to do it otherwise I will not be able to quench my thirst in-between dialysis sessions which will make it for me to control my fluid intake.

I am confused about your weight. How tall are you, since weight doesn't say everything but being dizzy is not okay. What about the sodium? I never heard of it, isn't it dangerous? I know if my mom eats salt lately (she always has a very low blood pressure like the rest of the family) it makes her sick and her heart hurts. Is it healthy to have loads of salt in the body?

I was 5'6" before but because my backbone had gone crooked, I am standing at about 4'7" to 4'10". I am smaller than my mother which stands at around 4'11".
My weight is about 33.4 Kg but anyway at dialysis they would set the dialysis machine to pump Sodium or Salt in my body in order for my blood pressure to rise so that I will not feel dizzy or experience hypotension. But it just makes me feel so thirsty.
I don't know the condition of your Mother or family but too much salt can raise the blood pressure plus it also make the person develop urinary track infection (UTI) plus the risk of the kidney getting destroyed because high blood pressure destroys Kidney.

So you were about 167 - 168 meters minus 100 and your weight should be 57 kilograms ideally (BMI) calculates more to make the overweight feel better. It's understandable you feel dizzy. I hope you will gain real weight without more damage.
My mom thinks she has a salt allergy,e never used it much in her life. The health isn't top but it sounds you both have a strong will to survive.

Calculations about my BMI seems to be complicated as well because it doesn't factor-in my crooked spine but regardless I am still underweight which is why I am trying to gain more body mass.
I hope that your Mom will handle her condition and it seems to be a hard health issue to manage as well but I wish her the best well-being because it is really hard to have these conditions. Lucky and blessed are the healthy because most really do not know what they got until they lose it.
