The name of the drug was "Mefloquine" which is an anti-Malarial drug made from the 70's. The effect of the drug is an immuno-suppression which aims for the body to basically ignore the virus by not allowing the lungs to react or get inflamed and thus not to cause the lungs to fill with fluids which will then make the patient not to lose the ability to oxygenate their bodies through normal breathing.
Well I hope that it would work because it makes sense that if our bodies would not get to react to the virus particularly our lungs then we will not develop coughs, difficulty in breathing, or other complications like Pneumonia and such. Read more HERE
We just needed a cure fast or else the world will turn back 200 years or so. So much lives had been lost due to this CoViD-19 Pandemic and had disturbed a lot of people's normal routine with their lives. This Anti-malarial drug-based medicine could be the solution that we needed because of the points it is raising about how it would work and at least now we have something to look forward to with a wise way of re-purposing an already existing drug that we are all waiting for.
