I Get To Enjoy Eating In A Small Window Of Time Only

Dialysis is something that surprises me each and everytime, it is the feeling that I get when I begin to get the clean feeling that is brought by the process of dialysis. It is like the feeling comparable to what you get when you fast for three days with only water to take into your system But for dialysis that process is sped-up which done within four hours more or less.

It also depends where you are dialyzed as some dialysis centers like in my country has a low level of quality standards and you can see it on the well-being of the patients who are bloated and weak because we do not get treated unlike in western standard of treatment.

I had been in dialysis for seventeen going on eighteen years now God-willing and I just wished that I received a proper care or I wouldn't have to suffer like this with my battered bones received the blow from my Nephrologist's medical malpractice or should I say incompetence in doing her job. What she is only good for is to collect her professional fees each and everytime I go for my dialysis. So I am furious on what happened to my body because of the negligence of all the Nephrologist and nurses in this country where I live.

But Boy Am I Gonna Eat Tomorrow

I am always eating a lot in dialysis whether they say it is bad or not or affects my blood pressure or not I am eating to my heart's content because really, in-between dialysis days I wasn't able to eat well. It is because of for one reason the effects of my Parathyroid medicine is nausea and loss of appetite. So one tablet only of that medicine would ruin my appetite until I get to my dialysis.

During dialysis I get to feel that my nausea and loss of appetite would go away because the dialysis process cleans it away. Maybe if I would get a more efficient dialysis I would be able to eat a whole Horse for that matter because dialysis also cleans away the water-soluble nutrients that the body needs like the blood sugar, protein compounds, and water-soluble vitamins and minerals.

That is why I get hungry when I am hooked-up for my dialysis especially when I feel to begin that the extra water in me is being taken off as it gives more room in my small body to taken in fluids and food.. But of course I could only do one filling and no more which means I could only eat once as the dialysis process is only for hours and by the time I had my fill I am done and would not eat anymore.

But I could still drink, in fact I get thirsty because my nurses has a habit of setting the "Sodium" high in an attempt to stabilize my blood pressure as I have the history of crashing BP during the course of my stay in that dialysis center. So I get thirsty and would really drink until my thirstiness is satiated because you really could not endure thirstiness as you would really find a way to quench it.

My Problem Of Blood Pressure Crashing Like A Meteor

I am always faced of my blood pressure crashing like hell and I mean in the 40's range and at the point my vision is already dimming, my neck is already hurting, and I am so restless already. So I have no choice anymore but to alert my nurses who would then slow the blood pump which of course I do not like to happen as it affects the cleaning quality of my blood that I get plus they infuse saline solution in my blood to lift up my blood pressure again.

In my nurse's minds they always blame the fluid that is being taken out as the culprit of the blood pressure crash. They do not factor in that there are other causes like low blood sugar as the dialysis causes it to go low and hence the blood pressure to go low. So they blame the water being taken out as the culprit and as a result every patient here are suffering or have died of being waterlogged.

I am just somewhat glad that my lungs even though that they are saturated with fluid most of the time doesn't give way and I do not get to suffer being drowned with my own body fluids. I also had suffered from getting Pneumonia but that was more than 12 years ago and is not related in fluids in the lungs. Thankfully my resistance is great enough that I do not get infections of some sort that would make my health crash down like a meteor.

That is why I often eat now prior for my dialysis and during dialysis. Afterall during dialysis I just get a little meat and more of the rice to fill me up so it isn't that bad. What is really bad was if I would eat a ton of stake which will not be able to get cleaned at dialysis and will make me fill sick after because of the urea and nitrogen that it will produce into my blood.

My Always Prayer
It is just my hope and prayer not to get a blood pressure crash because if I did the quality of cleaning that I get for my blood is greatly affected. It is because I get the crashing BP even if I eat a ton already much more maybe if I do not eat so I always needed prayers as my life is always on the line whenever I go for my regular blood-cleaning session.
