It'll Be A Rainy Christmas Time For Kids Here Tomorrow

It's children's day everywhere tomorrow particularly here in my place where kids first thing in the morning even if the sun is not up already would battle the cold showers and are excited to put on their new clothes, shoes, and everything new that they want to wear and then join with their lovedones, friends, or peers and hunt for their godparents in a pursuit of receiving gifts either in cash or in kind but most possibly in the would just receive cash which sometimes inside a Chinese red envelope which is called an "Ang Pao" or something like that..

I remember during my childhood years me and my brothers would put on our new clothes and venture out to give respects to any relative we could encounter and expect gifts of money and then finally we would hang around the house of my grandmother's brother because we assume to receive money from the cousins of my father over that house. I really could not remember my Uncles and Aunts there giving me money which is really my frustration at that time. So I would end up going home not even completing 200 pesos in cash equivalent of four dollars.

That house was full of fun during those times because they are in a reunion and they are complete unlike in my clan where we do not even have the chance to make a reunion with my father's side of the family. Now that house belongs to the daughter of my passed-away brother of my grandmother it is already not that fun anymore as my grandmother and his brothers, all the patriarchs and matriarchs already are gone but that is life and really nothing in this world is permanent. My Aunts are already old and even I am old as well although I remain to just look like a teenager forever.

But anyway there is a typhoon coming and tomorrow onwards we would experience rains which I hope will not ruin the children's most awaited day in this year, the typhoon is already affecting the central part of this country where in my place we might experience rains. Children would expect nice gifts tomorrow but some would just travel with their family and go elsewhere and have fun in tomorrow's momentous and most popular holiday season where foods abound, parties and family and friends reunion everywhere, the really extensive Karaoke use, drinking and merry-making (for adults) and money for the kids to receive too.
