Some News About The Free Dialysis Treatments From Public Hospitals In The Future Here In My Country

in #writing4 years ago (edited)

I heard it from the news above, it starts at 2:22 PM where the reporter said that the bill that is called "House Bill 6803 or Comprehensive Renal Replacement Therapy Act" is already passed in the third and final reading and now will be passed in the Senate for their own approval after some deliberation perhaps.

The aim of the law is give a fee dialysis to poor patients and it would force the government public hospitals from national to provincial and regional to make a dialysis service facility complete with doctors and nurses and the philhealth (government health insurance) to fund the free dialysis treatments to indigent patients.

So this law is for dialysis patients that goes to public government dialysis hospitals but I am expecting the philhealth to add more dialysis allocations so that dialysis patients like me that goes to a private hospital can also benefit from the said law.

All I just want is more number of sessions covered so that I can at least go for a three times per week dialysis unlike today that I can just have to go twice weekly and it still could not cover my whole year particularly now that I had used some of it for my Appendectomy that was done last January.

Another Law The Cheaper Medicines Act EO104 Is Now A Law As Well

I might be forced to transfer to the provincial dialysis center if it is necessary or if they have some more vacant slots to fill. That is if they would somehow improve their service in the near future because of the new law then I might take the option to transfer since the extra charge now for every session that I get is kept on rising from my current dialysis center.

I am keeping my hopes up about this new law for dialysis patients especially for the indigent ones so that I can be at least get some benefit or maybe even a greater relief financially because I will not worry anymore about paying extra charges or bills to pay per dialysis visit.

I am also happy that one of my medicines had a considerable 40% cut which is very helpful indeed and it will allow me to have some extra food because I can afford it much now unlike before even though it is still an expensive medicine to procure.
