1000 BTC GIVEAWAY ON BITCOINTALK! YES ONE THOUSAND.
A User by the name rekcahxfb of posted a giveaway of 1000 btc on bitcointalk today. link
It still seems like you can enter the giveaway he even has signed proof showing ownership of funds.
and a ready transaction to burn the 1000 bitcoins in case he dies before the giveaway finishes. (he sent a test transaction of 10 btc to 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE)
The users name reversed is bfxhacker But it seems that the coins have no association to the recent hack according to Rampion they appear to be from a 2013 scam/hack of inputs.io
Rampions post
- The coins come from a 2013 address, not linked at all with Bitfinex. SOURCE
- That address is very probably linked with the inputs.io scam/hack. SOURCE
- The person who declared the giveaway will post an address himself and send the money to that address
- He will then be able to claim he got the money from a giveaway and not from hacking/scamming
From this thread
Most people are speculating that TradeFortress is sending himself BTC in a elaborate way to claim he got them from a giveaway more info in the links above.
He also apparently sent 30 bitcoins to other users and even some mods according to redsnow without them posting there addresses.
So he is putting on a very big show personally I think it is worth throwing an address up there just in case but do not get your hopes to high.
Goodluck winning 1000 Bitcoins
Hehe, I had to laugh at his comment about getting arrested.
Thanks for posting. Upvoted.
Yes the guy who posting about getting arrested was spaming the thread hard.

no one would be handing out btc like that.
I wouldn't touch that at all.

lol. yikes. sorry to hear that. but I need them too. lol
👍😆congratulations
For what I did not win anything I am just posting that the giveaway is out there.
Can this be anything other than laundering? He isn't just randomly going to give away 1000 BTC.
