The man died under Godzilla's disguise
Haruo Nakajima was the one who gave life to the monster during the decade of 50.
Sad news for fans of Godzilla has been revealed in the last few hours, as the Japanese Haruo Nakajima, who used the costume of the Japanese monster in the 1950s, passed away at age 88.
The man from the rising sun used the disguise of the character for the first time in 1956, during the film "Godzilla, King of the Monsters".
In an interview, Nakajima told curious details about the suit, such as that it was made from premixed concrete, since rubber was scarce after World War II. This made the costume weigh up to 100 kilos.
