Here's a good plant for the Tropics and warm temperate climates- The Bird of Paradice. The Angels Trumpet is a lovely small tree and has unusual flowers, but just about every part of this plant is toxic, so do not touch !

They are actually quite common in my area, probably because they are so tough yet easy to care for and also colourful.
