The first of today's featured posts takes us to the Drifting Championship in Estonia, at the Superfinals. Photographer Franz shares amazing pictures from the car show and summarizes the day's proceedings in fascinating fashion.

The pictures are awesome and you will feel like you were there. Soak in the experience of this annual event, one super car at a time, one screech after another.

Go look at it for yourself!

Casey "spent two weeks on the road in California photographing dancers under the starry skies of southern California," and since then has shared a series of wonderful images from his Dancing with the Stars photoshoots, that feature starry skies and dancer models. In this one Casey's models are Kara and Morgan, and this post doubles to share Kara's inspiring story battling a life-threatening disease with the help of aerial exercise.

The models are amazing, Casey's photographs are gallery-worthy. As the post title suggests, the Dancing With The Stars series will be retired, at least for the year 2018. We look forward to its return, and in the meantime, Casey's amazing photography. Casey Grimley is an Utah-based Photographer, and a regular contributor of good, original contents to the Steem ecosystem.

Look at his post, and maybe follow his blog.

Inktober Day 2 - Iron Man

When Jake Parker birthed the idea of Inktober—a full month for celebration of ink drawing—he may not have seen vivid details of tens of thousands of creators creating hundreds of thousands of drawings over a period of one month. Few years down the road Inktober has come to say, and takes credit for the amazing work of Edgar Vega that is hereby featured, among others.

Here the author invites you into the creative process of this wonderful creation of Iron Man, from the steps he takes to a finished work, and how he handled the challenge of showing a color difference in grey scale.

"Part of the spirit of inktober is letting... imperfections go and learning what you can, to use the next day." — Edgar

After 16,265 Miles, I'm Finally Back!

Oh Dimitri! For lack of a better adjective, this is beautiful! Below is a wrap up of this cross-country trip, in the author's words:

"Just to share some trip stats: Three of us, my friend Chase, my Fianceé, and I, packed over 400 lbs of supplies into my Honda Civic. We covered 27 states and 3 provinces/territories. Spent 50 days on the road. Burned 488 gallons of gas (ranging in price from $2.25/gal to over $8/gal!) over 16,265 miles. And went through three oil changes and a full set of new tires, plus I will definitely need to replace my shattered windshield at some point!" — @dimitri0610

Hey! This is supposed to be a teaser. You can imagine when the author begins to share details of this trip, and even more photographs.

While we wait, look at this wonderment.

I Love You - Short Film

For the second time in as many weeks we are featuring the film work of Phil, blogging as @distantsignal. This one is a premiere of his new short film, I Love You, shared in an exclusive order to the Steem community before spreading far and wide.

The author's synopsis describes the work thus:

"A girlfriend tries to get her boyfriend to say I love you first, but dropping little hints isn't quite cutting it."

Go watch this one for some amazing cinematic experience.

[wtf Wednesdays] Undercover Psychopaths : Do you know one?

Like @katrina-ariel puts it, this is hard but important subject to discus, and shed light on. In brave fashion, Stacey speaks out about her experience with workplace sexual abuse in the hands of a psychopathic predator.

"What I hope you take away from this is that if you hear someone talk about being attacked, regardless of your opinion of them and their lifestyle, Psychopaths prey on anyone." — Stacey

The author ends with a footnote clarion call for others who are going through these strong emotions to talk about the experience. At times like ours, this is a needful call.

KATHARSIS (Serial Novella- Part One)

Image from @birddroppings's post

The last to be featured today is a first installment of an original serial novella, Katharsis. Katharsis is a story told in first person narration and the compelling nature of the narrative will pull you in from the first words, and have you hooked all the way through. The story is realistic and almost feels like a sneak peak into a wondering person's personal journal. You would enjoy reading it.
