Ulog #1 Family Meeting

As you can see on my title, this is my first time to do my ulog!

Finally, I make it to start my ulog and thanks to my friends who are my fellow steemians as well keeps on encouraging me to make my ulog. At first, I don't know what this ulog all about since I missed reading Sir Terry's or known as @surpassingoggle post about it. But with my supportive friends and fellow steemians they make it to explain and encourage me to do the same.
My first ulog is about what I had yesterday. After our weekly worship meeting, me and my siblings gathered together at home to discuss about my parents welfare and how we were able to help each other to make our parents happy especially now that they were old and experience some health problems. Recently, my Dad loss appetite to eat anything and don't speak at all. We wonder why what's happening to them so we really feel worried about him so my Mom calls a therapist to see him. The therapist said he experiencing mild stroke and depressions. When my sister told me about it, I immediately inform other members of the family to let them know my Dad's situation. Since I can't make it to go home that time I just messaged my other members of the family to come and visit him. Or call him through phone or video call. And it's good that my nieces and my other siblings make it to come and visit him. I feel relieved that he was given a comfort and encouragement to be well. And the next day, I plan to come and visit him as well. And I see good improvement in his condition. Now, he was able to eat little by little and he started to talk/speak few words but only when we asked him. But we miss to see him initiating the conversations as he does before. So my sister call for a family meeting and that's what we had yesterday.

My other two siblings live abroad so we try to make a way to get them involved to our family meeting through video call as you can see here.

At first, only us siblings exclusively meet to talk about my Dad's situation. My sister asked me to write down something we can do for them. And this what I wrote down...

So, first, we plan to do the first step to let them express themselves as they might have any worries we don't know. So we called my Dad and asked about it. Little by little my Dad able to express himself but very short words and soft voice still. But anyway, we make him feel that he was loved and assured him that we are here willing to listen and helped them to whatever they go through. The second one will be done by taking them to a Doctor to see him for a check-up. Third, we arranged for a financial support for their needs. And lastly, I suggested that we make time for us siblings to spend time with them time to time. Because as we observed old people or our aged parents were happy to see their grown children and grandchidren make time to come and spend time with them making them feel that they are not forgotten. And everyone agree! My Dad smiled and we can feel that his happy about our arrangement and so my Mom. We finished our family meeting past midnight so we really feel sleepy but we're all happy especially to see our parents feel loved after that family meeting.

I hope this will inspire you to take this time to make your parents loved and be mindful about our parents welfare. For us, their children be a good hand and support each other as siblings to make our parents happy! And our God Jehovah will not forget those loving kindness we shown to our parents..
