East – Yellow – Liu Hui an Engineer living in Hong Kong with car manufacturing connections.

High in the foggy mountains above Hong Kong stood a renovated fortress worth over $200 million American. It had once belonged to Imperial family members during the brief unification under Qin rule. They would travel here for the Ocean views.

Legend says that the first Emperor himself stayed for a couple of days drinking tea from the balcony to watch the sunrise over the horizon of the Pacific. Had he known about the new world he might have set sail.

Now, thousands of years later, a new owner settled in the mansion with a kickoff party that included leaders of the Communist party. Only Mr. Hui worked in car manufacturing, and so representatives from Toyota, Ford, and BMW among others garnered his attention.

Mr. Hui’s daughter, Liu Hui, walked in the garden below the famous balcony. She didn’t care much for socializing making it impossible for her to find a husband.

She had recently graduated from a prestigious University with a Master’s Degree in Bioengineering and her mind raced with thoughts about plant life and how it could be used to assist humanity.

She looked at the plants that had been placed here by the previous owner. They were well established, and healthy, only a bit traditional. She would ask her Father to keep them all which would make him happy with his busy career. Liu Hui had no need to work, although her Dad could find her a position at anytime if she wished.

Only what did she wish for? Some Hemp plants.

Hemp had been illegal in Hong Kong until the previous year. With China taking back control of the English colony the plant had become legal again in Hong Kong under the authority of the Communist party in Beijing.

Liu Hui’s Master Thesis explained the benefits of Hemp ethanol over Corn ethanol. For example, not needing to rotate the Hemp crop like Corn required. This allowed for more Ethanol to be mass produced with a reliable supply source that could be counted on year after year.

Her professor enjoyed reading her work. He even gave her high grades. He only said that, “the need for China to win a trade war with the West would be the reason to not pursue the technology. If China were to beat America they must become America by copying the greatest economy in the world.”

Fresh from years of intensive study, and with a new castle to roam in the excitement of a still freshly annexed Hong Kong, Liu Hui would need some Hemp plants here to continue her study in her free time, and so she began to make a plan for the garden, and her office behind the glass doors under the balcony where the first Emperor of China sipped his tea to see the Ocean.

Liu Hui would be able to see the Pacific Ocean as well from her office only it would only be obstructed by the plants.
