Is Steemit going to tap into 100 bil market? SteemBnB/SteemUber - Steemit Multi Billion Dollar Powerhouse!
Hello everyone,
Even though the idea is not new and came from someone else on Steemit a few months ago I do feel this is the perfect place to raise the flag for someone to get really involved and start developing an application/s that will open brand new possibilities for the growth of Steemit. Sometimes, actually most of the time, it takes action to move things forward and just plain talks won't make it happen.
There are two companies that made a complete breakthrough of how people vacation or travel and we all know them and use them. They both disrupted transportation and hotel services all around the world.
- AirBnB - 2017 valuation 31 billion USD
- Uber - 2017 valuation 68 billion USD
Then we have Steemit that has been around for about 1 year and is currently sitting at 209 million USD which really is nothing considering the potential it has across many different industries beyond social media or blogging.
The idea is very simple yet extremely powerful. We all love to travel which always requires accommodation and some sort of transportation. The user base of Steemit is growing and is expected to grow even faster once things start moving forward. What I would love to be able to do in the future is to go anywhere in the world and through SteemBnB or SteemUber application to find my accommodation as well as transportation from the fellow steemian to whom I should be able to pay instantly either by Steem/SBD or alternatively in upvotes if applicable.
Having functional applications like this will not only make Steemit and the price of Steem to grow but also make our community stronger by cutting the middleman and keeping our product within the Steemit ecosystem.
What do you say? Is there someone out there that can work on the project like this? I would give it my full support and I am sure there are many steemians out there that would do the same. I think it is about the time to come out with some killer apps that we will all be able to benefit from while keeping things in the house! Let's call it Steemit Multi Billion Dollar Powerhouse:)....

I forget in which post I mentioned this, but I had elaborated on this idea of a Steemit BnB type service, where there could be a few around the world, all employees are paid in SBD or Crypto, customers HAVE to pay in Crypto, special discount if you pay in SBD, and another discount for members of the Steemit community. This means that if you don't have much SBD but your partner has BTC, you still get some sort of benefit from being a contributing member of Steemit.
Opening services also, such as a SteemDrive service, like a taxi service in the area near the SteemitBnB could be interesting, for starters. Eventually, it could expand.
Imagine a grand starcase or regal colours, and royal carpetry and tapestry, circling up around a tower of beautiful and luxurious rooms, where everyone there feels safe and at home, because we are all Crypto using folk, who are like-minded like all of us on Steemit, even within our differing views, and fountains of beautiful gold light shine in the night. Blue and green hues of lights around the regal hotel letting the world around know that this place is powered and funded by Steem and Crypto.

I am saying big YES! A lot things can be done for the steemit ecosystem but that needs a lot of dedication, ideas and work. Cannot wait for all those things to unroll.... Have a great night! Tomas

Hello @czechglobalhosts I am happy at the end you decided to use Utopian for this. Unfortunately there are quite a few issues in this post.
You should have submitted this using the announcements. Read about them here. In order to use them you must have a Github repository, even if empty, and you should use the announcements to request for specific tasks. This makes us sure you have a plan on actually building something.
Banners, direct mentions and sentences like "Upvote, Resteem, Comment" are not allowed in Utopian. This is to avoid abuse.
The repository you used is utopian-io/utopian.io but this is only for contributions for Utopian. You should have used the repository of your project. I know you don't have one yet but I am just clarifying this up for you.

Hi! Thanks ever so much for coming back to me! I really do appreciate that. I do understand all the points you have made but in all honesty, I do not have any intentions to become a project owner or to create a Github account/repository. My intention was just to propose something that would add an incremental value to the whole ecosystem that we would all be able to benefit from. I would definitely give my full support to someone who would take an ownership for such a project and would develop this into a working application. Tomas
