Prague/Czech Republic - Thursday photo challenge - share your personal pictures from your visit to the Czech Republic!
WARNING: The use of images that are not your own on which you claim the ownership will be flagged and/or reported to @steemcleaners - HELPING TO STOP PLAGIARISM ON STEEMIT
Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @magnata:
The Trojsky Castle, although it is called the castle, is essentially a palace with an adjacent garden. The castle only works in the warm season, from April to October, a day off, like in most Prague museums - Monday. The castle was built by French architect Jean Batiste Mate, modeled on the Italian country villas. He caused his unusual architecture a real sensation among the Czech nobility.
I rewarded @magnata entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.
Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!
Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.

The church of St Peter and Paul in Rajhrad got its nowadays form in 18th century thanks to well-known architect Giovanni Santini Aichel. It is part of Benedictines Monastery and Rajhrad Abbey. In the area of the Monastery are situated also Museum of literature and vet station for injured animals.
View of beautiful landscape surrounding the River Elbe (Labe in the Czech language) as seen and captured from a cruise ship heading from the Czech town of Decin to the German city of Dresden. Photo taken near the Czech-German border in late fall a few years ago.
Nice view from my sister house in Beskydy. Beskydy Mountains is a traditional name for a series of mountain ranges in the Carpathians, stretching from the Czech Republic in the west along the border of Poland with Slovakia up to Ukraine in the east.
When in Prague you MUST walk across the Charles Bridge. Stunning statues all along the bridge. I walked it at night - winter freezing night - and I had a luck, there weren ‘t so many turists. The small building is the National Theater. I live in Prague and it’s sometines nice to behave like a turist.
The Church of St. Martin in the Wall, Old Town, Prague,
The church was built in the first half of the 12th century originally as a Romanesque.
What wall is in the name? Fortification of the Old Town of Prague. The stone walls were built long after the church was built.
There were only a few towers embedded in residential buildings from the fortifications. (Behind the church).
Let's share a food related picture today! While visiting Český Krumlov, there many cafes and we came across a store that sells Trdelnik. They sold other desserts too but Trdelnik is one of things you need to try when you come to Czech Republic. It's like a bread/pastry with sugar around it. Extremely yummy when it comes out nice and hot.
