Two Brothers and a Five Footer!
This is a funny story for some and apparently traumatizing for others!
My son @espenkirby and his older brother were out by the shed doing some cleanup when Espen spotted this Texas Rat Snake. He said gently "wow, that's a big snake". Brody, super macho Brody said, not so gently "Where?!". Then screamed like a .... well, I'd say "a little gorl", but that wouldn't be nice to all the gorls! Lol

Espen realized at that moment that he had the upper hand over his big brother so, of course, he tossed the snake at Brody!
That was way too much for Brody. He ran into the house and locked the door! I tried to convince him to come out and face his fears... he wasn't having it!
I can tell you that one son was in favor of letting the snake live and one wasn't. I'll let you guess which was which.
Dad wins. The snake was relocated alive.
LOL I have respect for them but also don't want them near me...
I don't mind snakes at all... it's the snake fangs and venom being injected into my skin that I'm afraid of! @ironshield
Yes - I understand some are good but we had a cotton mouth visit this week and that was toooooo much!
I do like to keep my distance from them.
I hope you relocated it somewhere outside, and not in Brody's sock drawer.
Haha! I would not put it past Espen!
You are incredible, dare to hold such a snake.
Good for Espen. A really brave man.
-o-
Free it or kill it?
I have the two endings in stories relating snakes:
Fight for life in my backyard
Snake in the chicken coop
Your sons have to be cracy and brave at the same time. I wouldn't be doing this. Never, ever!
@daddykirbs woo! If they terrify me a lot but try not to go out screaming hahaha I do not like to look like those garish grichas haha
I am not scared of snakes but I do have a great respect for them, especially if they are venomous. I would, and have on occasion, relocated snakes out of harms way. Theirs and mine.
