A deep relationship

Hosea 2:20 "and I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord."

As we develop a relationship with God we can discover more about his holy character, the Lord enlightens the hearts and minds of those who develop a relationship with him, giving them a greater desire to know him more intimately.
In the process of knowing God we leave behind carnal and worldly desires which simply cannot compare to the deep satisfaction, joy and fulfillment that God offers.

The blessings the Lord gives us are lasting and soul-satisfying.
Developing a relationship with God is a profound process which humbles us as we see God's sovereignty revealed, makes us understand our need for Him.

In addition to our need our gratitude also deepens, recognizing that the goodness of God is what motivates his forgiveness as well as his liberation and direction for us, gives us a grateful heart.
The relationship with God makes us know his purpose in us as the Holy Spirit guides us, the relationship with God grows stronger, deeper and more personal.

When we deepen our relationship with God; we learn more about him, and we can appreciate more the depth, height, and breadth of his love, power, and wisdom - all of which intensify our awe as our admiration for him grows.

The deep relationship with God makes us want to please him. It also makes us feel in holy and respectful fear and our desire for personal satisfaction fades and we become service to our God.

A deep relationship with God teaches us that pleasing Him is not a burden, but rather a joy that we undertake with humility and gratitude.
