In May 2015, hundreds of Rohingya ethnic refugees from Myanmar were stranded in the mainland of Aceh. They are accommodated in several districts in Aceh with the support of the Indonesian government, IOM and UNHCR. However, not even a year accommodated in Aceh, some of them escape from the shelter to Malaysia.
