Myanmar, UN agencies sign MoU to facilitate Rohingya repatriation

Myanmar and UN organizations have initialed a notice of comprehension (MoU) on help to the repatriation procedure of Rohingyas from Bangladesh to Myanmar.

The legislature of Myanmar had been talking about the MoU with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) since February 2018.

The exchanges have brought about the MoU which will soon be marked, says the service of the workplace of the Myanmar State Counselor on Thursday.

The UNDP and UNHCR have been welcome to partake in different phases of return and resettlement, and to help access to vocations through the outline and execution of group based intercession, the Myanmar government says in a press articulation.

Myanmar Ministry of Labor, Immigration and Population, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) initialed the MoU to help the legislature of Myanmar in actualizing the repatriation bargain amongst Bangladesh and Myanmar.

The UN organizations will coordinate with the legislature of Myanmar on repatriation issues.
