Self-LOVE III
This semester I’m attending to a “Gender School”, in which woman from diverse disciplines talks about feminism and what is its role to play today. The school consist in 12 different seminaries that approaches feminism from different prospectives, amongst them art, economics, history and law.
Today the seminary was a powerful introduction conducted by Olga Grau Duhart, who is a Chilean teacher and philosopher specialized in feminism and gender.
Today I learned that feminism is political. It’s love. It’s public and private. But most important it is revolution.
For me, feminism have been the enormous revolution of selflove. It has meant to finally understand that selflove is not vanity, but mental health. Because feminism does not want you to feel like an object whose only attributes are physical. Feminism wants me to o understand that my value cannot be measured by my height or even weight, because I’m so much more than just that. I’m passion and action. I’m intelligence and skills.
