The perfect Blue Caves in Bonito
Hi I'm Danny! I'm travelling around the world! Please Follow me
I'm here in the beautiful Bonito. So far I've spoken about riding ziplines into rivers and snorkelling with thousands of fish. Today I went to learn about animal conservation and how snakes are helped in the wild.
You can see the ranch is a pretty spectacular place. We arrived after a long journey over scorched red roads.
From here we went to another of the many jewels belonging to Bonito - the Gruta do Lago Azul. I had heard a lot of people talking about this as a must see destination.
Just like the name Bonito which translates to "beautiful" the name of this place is pretty self explanatory too: it means blue caves.
I think I had an idea of what it would be like but nothing prepares you for the perfect and surreal shades of blue.
I mentioned before that Bonito is the eco tourism capital of Brazil - just like in the rest of Bonito, the caves are very well managed. It is for this reason that tourists and locals are not allowed to go in the water, or even to touch it.
what a wonderful nature :)
Is that a monkey in one of the pictures? It looks like an old man. Haha. Thanks for sharing.
What was the weather like? It seems tropical but travel has shown me that you never know, and pictures can be deceiving.
I look forward to more of your posts. ^^

Wow!!!! That blue water looks so beautiful.
You are living the dream of many. Great post!
I've always wanted to travel to Brazil, but I hear so many dangerous things about it. Of all your pictures I like the ones of the cave waters the most. Makes paradise seem like it's just inside a cave!
Thank you for the stunning photos they're awesome
