We are off of the main road and surrounded by snow and mountains. It's freezing here - the wind is whipping around us and we've all gone back to the van to add extra layers - I think we were a bit naive to how cold it would be at this altitude.

On the climb up to the high plateau we took some time to get acclimatised, but also found some incredible stopping points that gave us views and angles of Licancabur volcano that we had not yet seen.
