A Few Questions For My Fellow Steemians
Hi Everyone,
Recently I've been going through a lot of changes in my life. Positive changes mind you! So far, I don't have much of a social media following, because I've never really liked making social account part of my daily routine. Sure I get on Instagram to check out the people I follow and upload the occasional picture that I take that looks artsy but I've never really dived in. Back when I was going through a lot of traumatizing personal stuff I started a Steemit account and made regular posts but I never really felt that connected for those same reasons.
My first question: With all the social apps and websites like Airtime, Twitter, Insta, FB, Tumblr, etc. and decentralized apps like Steem, Sociall, and LIT (Mithril) what things do you look for when deciding what to use? Have you tried these? I know this might sound like a simple question, but think about if you were starting fresh. You open up a new decentralized social media account, work on getting a following or better yet, fall in love with the process of whatever you're sharing with people on a particular platform, and then something better comes out. You don't want to leave your viewers. The simple answer is find one thing and stick with it, but why would you keep using an outdated technology? (You think they could create some type of protocol that would transfer entire social accounts over).
What have you enjoyed using? What's up-and-coming? Maybe it's taboo to ask these kind of questions on Steemit (I love Steemit btw & can hear the faithful Bloggers preaching)but thought I could learn something from some of your experiences. The main reason I ask is I hear all the time from my artistic friends "Instagram is going to shit" or "Twitter isn't what it used to be"....and whatever... you can only listen to people so much before following than voice inside of you. Regardless I've repeated it to my friends and family: "Decentralization will change the world". I truly believe that, and think for many of you Steemians that's already the case. I've definitely made a good amount from investing in crypto four years ago (not that it was very much compared to some of you I'm sure).
Your experiences, comments are much appreciated.
Cheers,
