THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL IS THE MESSAGE

in HeartChurch4 years ago

Taking the words said by this critical thinker, I begin my reflection today to meditate on the power of the word of God.

"God does not need intellectuals,
he doesn't need great people,
fancy people, or famous people.
People are not power.Power is the message.
(John MacArthur)

Many people in the world ignore the power or importance of the word of God written in the Bible, said power that all men need in order to live a full life.

Some think of themselves that they are not worthy even to hear the word of God because of their condition of life, others think that they are too many intellectuals and powerful on earth to be involved in biblical scriptures, others very poor while another conglomerate of people believe that God only needs cultured, elegant or famous people in the gospel to be able to attract the attention of the world

God is no respecter of persons and the gospel is for everyone for the poor rich intellectual ... because Jesus came into the world precisely to save him from ignorance and slavery and earthly the world, that is, people have different characteristics which lead them to practice various actions that need to be transformed by God and can only be achieved through the power of the word.

Romans 1:16
16 Because I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
(Rvr1960)

"I am not ashamed of the gospel" is a phrase that is reflected in the aforementioned text and that shows us that the gospel is the Power of God that gives us the tools to face adversity, since in the word we find the truth, the way and life, who is Jesus Christ himself.
(RVR1960, biblical commentary)

Currently many people are ashamed when the gospel is preached to them, thinking that they do not have to be "in it" referring to the gospel because they feel self-sufficient and without sin since they totally ignore the importance of God for their lives and certainly the bible says that we are all sinners therefore we are destitute of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23
because all have sinned, they fall short of the glory of God
(Rvr1960)

All people are destitute of the glory of God for being sinners but we are justified by Jesus Christ when we believe him, we confess him with our hearts, we obey him through the word and we change our lives.

It is important to highlight that neither the intellectuals nor the powerful of the earth will ever be able to change the heart of man, only God has that power through his eternal and divine word since the power is only God's but through the power of his word.
