Phone Scams Focusing On People In The USA That Speak Mandarin

I was watching a Youtube video called, China's $40 Million scam in the USA. It is put up by serpentza. Well, in this video they mention these Chinese phone scams. These calls will be speaking in Mandarin, but calling people here in the USA.

I will mention that I have never received a phone scam call in Mandarin, well at least I have never picked up a phone and it was talking to me in Mandarin, but I found this video fascinating.

Well, in the video people that speak Mandarin here in the USA will take a call like this more seriously than for instance, if someone will get a Social Security or an IRS impersonating scam call.

I do feel for these people that are getting scammed, especially them that are trusting to these types of calls. That video I mentioned is linked in source number 1. I won't be getting into the type of calls that are coming in the language of Mandarin here in the USA. The video will help you on that one.

I am just fascinated that a scam is going on in another language, of course they are targeting people that speak Mandarin here in the USA as people that don't speak Mandarin will just hang up not knowing how to communicate, but they will be calling random numbers hoping to get to someone that does speak Mandarin.

Well, you won't be able to communicate as the call will be a computer leaving a message and you have to press a certain button or call back another phone number.

As for me most of the time, I won't even answer a phone call, if I don't know who it is. If it is a friend or acquaintance then they will leave a message.

Speaking of trusting people one of my mom's elderly neighbor got money taken twice. I thought she would have learned from the first time they scammed her, but that is it, that these scams prey on, the trusting people.

Well there is all kinds of scams out there and if you get scammed once then you know that some people really don't care and will want to scam you if they can get away with it.

The thing is that there are probably a lot of people here in the USA that speak Mandarin and maybe they might not know that scammers are out in full force, especially the scammer that talks in their own language.

In the video it mentioned that since the call is in a language that they understand they might be more trusting to the call, even though a robot called them at first.

Best not to trust anybody, always test.

One of my tests when the scammer calls and says that the cops will come by if I don't call them back in 30 minutes is just to wait 30 minutes and see if the cops show up.

Well, in my test the cops didn't show up in 30 mins and not even in 30 days, it was all a scam.

Now can you see what words they use for the police or sheriff? They use the word cops. Well most serious callers won't say the word cops. That word belongs in the movies to make it more exciting. Cop is an informal way of saying police.

I used to work as an information operator and if someone asked me for the number of the cops. I would restate it and say you want the number to the police or sheriff? There is no number under that name cops in all of the cities that I ever looked up.

So when a scammer uses the word cops, then I know it is a scam. Of course people that call in some kind of scam are also liars. What does the scripture say about liars? As it is written, And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither worketh abomination, or a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 21:27.

Let's end with some scripture, Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
