Shadow and Body

Good morning, afternoon and or evening wherever you are reading this post, I want sharing with you a story of Shadow and Body, enjoy and learn from it.
The Shadow once said to the Body: ‘who is a friend like me? I follow you whenever you go. In sunlight I was there with you, in moonlight I never forsake you.’ ‘True’ answered body, ‘You go with me in sunlight and in the moonlight you never leave me; but where are when neither sun nor moon shines upon me? The true friend will be faithful to us in adversity and will abide with us in the darkness of the light.

Some few years ago a man whom I heard his true life story was married to a young women. They lived quite happily for many years and the family was blessed with five children.

But suddenly the man became blind and had to leave the home to seek bread and cure for his blindness. Because the man wife not expect that her husband would return to her a healthy man she packed out of the house and sent their children away to live with other people from her husband family. She too went and remarried. Five years after the husband had left the home he returned to that same home with his sight restored because he had been miraculously and medically cured of his blindness. Even though he was willing to take the women back, she was ashamed to come back because she had become a disgrace to herself.

She like that of Shadow claimed is the best friend who never leave nor forsake the body. She was a wife and friend for prosperity only. Such a women is not a true friend of her husband.

Who else is like that of shadow?

The man who will dine and wine with you in your life time, who will almost make your home his second home but who will desert your family entirely when you are no more. Such I called a shadow friend.

My Advice: If you are searching for a friend, look for the man who can enter into the pleasures, the pains and miseries of other people with some degree of participation. Such a friend is difficult to come by.
