Being a senior member in the WeChat support group for steem community, sometimes I get DM from people asking, Dave why do you have so much liquid Steem in your wallet? Are you preparing to leave Steem platform?

Sometimes, I really ran out of word, ran out if explanation. I mean, it's very difficult to explain my real motive in having such amount of Steem in the wallet.

So lemme break it down for you. Why do I have so "much" steem in my wallet instead of SP.

1. Do you know the steem power I am upvoting now, is a result of leasing? Then where's my own SP? That's because I delegated mine to support community project. It used to be profitable, but what can you expect with recent hard fork? All of these project become unprofitable. So, a big portion of my rental has to come out from my pocket. I can choose not to lease, but what would you think when you see I have 5000sp and delegated 5000sp out and vote you zero?
2. Other than rental, I am also saving for next year project, which I am trying to build up a stronger Bahasa language community. For now, there is a group of Indonesian blogging for small community vote. I am saving some steem and plan to make a community project of #id-achievement, so their steemian van set a year long target and try to grow. Every month to select some of the best posts/achiever and give out SteemPower to them(yes directly power up), to encourage genuine content creator. That part, I will leave @victoria-bella to help me up.
3. Other than #esteem we're trying to grow, I am going to promote @wherein mobile app to the Bahasa community, both Indonesia and my mother land Malaysia. Which will also help the community to grow bigger, and more choice of app to use for content creation. Who doesn't want a #steem version of IG? Mind you #wherein take absolutely 0 beneficiaries and giving upvotes to quality content.

So, there you have it. I'm not trying to be a hero, but I know we need flow in this community. I know people will suggest me to create token and make things work. I mean come on, not like we haven't seen trillions of token been flying out from the market everyday, but that's just another way people use this tool to transfer wealth. Activities within steem is still very limit and doesn't go outreach yet. To me, steem is already the best tool to grow and market. More importantly, we need investor to pump in. Ultimately, that's what @wherein is trying to achieve. Good amount of users, and with that to find investors to fund our activities.

Whether you believe or not, I have plans to continue buy in via #esteem with #estm. It may not be significant amount, but that's my goal for 2020. What matter is, I did not power down at all. Why worry if I'm trying to take them out? Those whom you should worry is, checkout their wallet that is consistently powering down and sending liquid steem and to exchange 😂
