Man U in the Web of £80m deal to sign Harry Maguire

Man United have agreed to pay £80m in order to have Leicester defender Harry Maguire play for them.

The deal which is said to be subject to medicals would eclipse the current world-record £75m Liverpool paid in the deal that saw Virgil van Dijk left Southampton for Liverpool.

Maguire will, in the days ahead, discuss personal terms with the management of Man United before he'd eventually join them.

The 26-year-old remains Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's No 1 target at Old Trafford and has told Leicester he wants to leave before the transfer window shuts on August 8.

Maguire is also said to be very keen on a move to Old Trafford so he can follow in the footsteps of his heroes Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.
