Since the creation of the internet, no generation has been this dependent on social media and the internet in general like the current generation and one only wonder what the future holds.

But with the current trend, we can only expect that it'll only get worse. As gradually we seem to be losing touch with reality and are more in tune with activities online.

I remember watching sci-fi movies like Minority Report, Iro both etc. and thinking how far fetched they were but going by current trends I see now that it's only a matter of time.

With the speed at which technology is advancing I just might be a owner of a flying car. After all we have self driving cars being tested now.

But with all this excitement and advancement of technology, I see a growing trend. More and more people are getting addicted to the virtual world of the internet and are more and more oblivious to their physical surroundings.

We're becoming zombies all because of the allure of virtual reality. Everyday we form new bonds with people online but lose the bonds formed with people offline, we seem to trust and share deep secrets with people that we've never physically seen but yet tell nothing to those around us that can physically help.

I'll end with this, as much as social media and the internet is exciting and fun, we should never give up our actual lives for it but rather strike a balance between the two, so as not to be at a loss with either.
