First of all, just based on looks, this is some serious James Bond lookin design. Yes, thank you very much Q, I'll take 5...

"Lumen has relatively simple work principle - you touch TEG (Thermoelectric Generator) - small ceramic bar that can produce electric current when we provide temperature difference between upper and lower parts of TEG."

"How to help you to find it in a complete darkness? You can order Lumen with tritium vial - glass tube with a phosphor layer in them and tritium gas inside the tube. This tiny vial will produce light for over a decade. "-source

So as long as ya don't go corpse-cold (in which case you've got other bigger problems) you're good to go! I'd love one of these in a survival go-bag.

Also the best part is there's no batteries to recycle or lithium to mine!

Hello @ dayleeo, good futuristic hunt.
While you are alive you have some light on yourself.
When is the small difference in temperature Lumen produces light, when there is a big difference in temperature - the surplus is stored in the condenser!
The power of light is like a cell phone, what which is quite enough.
With ( Tritium ) add-on device lights up in the dark so you can always find it.
Simply, this is your eternal light ( always at hand ) and you are the source of energy for it.
Super idea.

Good luck with hunt.

yes, agree withe everything above :D @crypto-mammoth

This is one of the coolest gadgets I have seen, being able to generate energy so easily through the heat generated by our body is incredible. The best thing is that this gadget is very compact and as you say is perfect for our emergency bag thanks to its incredible utility.

Awesome job, this is a must-have gadget for an emergency situation.

thanks very much @anomalogy ! yeah this could save your life in one of those clutch situations, perfect for an emergency go-bag :D

Pros and Cons
Pros:
-Producing electricity with your body heat, your heat is going away anyways
-Simple "regenerative" energy source for a flash light

Cons:
-You cannot use this in snow environment, where you cannot expose your skin to a metal surface

hmm good point, wonder how this would work in colder temperatures @biuiam

remember to hunt really your best finds on the web, we want the site to be fully of quality awesome products that people will love!

some power tips for the next hunt.. .

  • use animated gifs up to 10mb
  • quote some of the text using > arrow
  • write your opinions about the product
  • comment pro and cons on other hunts
  • upvote and resteem your favs of the day
  • write a blog post about your top 5/10/25 :)

I want one! I wondered as I was reading it how it would work for people in colder places whose fingers aren't that warm but since you just need the top to be warmer than the bottom it really wouldn't be a problem for anyone who's alive. Plus it's got a great lifespan.

right, i guess the logic is, if your body is warm enough to still be alive you're giving off some level of body heat- haha exactly @elementm !

@dayleeo Looks unique to me. As I never heard any similar kind of product earlier...

This is a cool hunt.
Even though I have heard of thermoelectric applications in physics, I haven't really come across a device utilizing such heat as low as the one generated from fingertips.

Woww! This is super awesome hunt @dayleoo. Imagine a flashlight that does not requires battery anymore. :)

This flashlight is very cool.. A flashlight whose power comes from the body heat of a human.. this TEG flashlight technology was first seen from a project presentation organize by google.. It uses thermoelectric effect to products electricity based on the difference temperature of human body and the other surface.. GREAT HUNT

I would do a lot of camping if ever I could have that kind of a flashlight! Hahaha. Anyway, this is super cool hunt! Congrats!

great to keep around for camping or emergencies that's for sure @truthsfinder <3
