Solar Storm Effects, Geo-Engineering
The geomagentic storm apparently had some affect yesterday.
- Social media giant Facebook and Instagram were down for a lot of people.
- It all affected the cellular services in the US and around the world.
- Auckland Airport had some strange outages that caused delays.
- Followed by a similar outage in Phoenix Airport. What are the chances two airports have a similar security outage due to electrical issues on the same day?
- Blacksburg, VA had a power outage when a transformer blew.
- And Pennsylvania's State College had a power outage
- Detroit station WXYZ suffered a power outage when "a DTE box blew up twice, which is like the fuse box at home but much, much larger". This apparently affected other portions of the Detroit metro area.
- A school in Wichita, Kansas was out of power due to a blown transformer
The solar wind is picking up and probably should last for another day.
The Sun's Earth Facing disc has no sunspots or anything else to report, but activity is coming around the bend.
- Indonesia's Mount Sinabung is erupting, most likely due to the current solar activity.
- A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck near the center of China
- And another 5.3 magnitude earthquake down at the bottom of the Atlantic near where the magnetic South Pole is moving around.
Let's hope today isn't as busy or busier than yesterday.
Oh... and they are talking about geoengineering in Germany.
