October 27, 19: Walking, Daily Stuffs, and Chillin’ in Front of the Boob Tube
Since it was so wet yesterday (and today 😟😣), we decided not to do our usual walk in the woods. Instead we took a loooong route down to the lake.
Yet another gray day. Rainy 🌧 and super windy 🌬 We definitely got our share of sideways rain to the face...but I can’t complain 😜
Even this ivy creeping up a wall downtown has gotten into the fall swing!
Not nearly as much wildlife to be seen about, but there’s still a few creepy crawlers here and there. This massive fellow must have gotten flooded out of his house and decided to look for some higher ground. We certainly do grow ‘em big ‘round these parts [insert penis inuendo here]. 😂
Hard to tell amongst the fifty-one shades of gray in this photo, but we now have three pairs of swans 🦢 down at the lake!!!
As you may or may not know, swans pair for life...you will always see them together.
The rest of the day was spent just relaxing and watching some movies on tv. I also spent some time researching subclasses (the extends keyword) for JavaScript. Trouble is I’m still stuck in the old way of programming, and am taking some time to get used to object oriented programming and the ability to take for granted the number of operations that computers can do nowadays.
I’m constantly worried about developing the program structure so that the game doesn’t run slow, and it seems like it’s mostly an unnecessary worry...for example, looping over large arrays is no problem.
Tomorrow I need to write the exams since my interview is on Tuesday and I have a student who has arranged to take one of the exams early.
