Mark 10:46-52 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

46.Jesus and his disciples went to Jericho. And as they were leaving, they were followed by a large crowd. A blind beggar by the name of Batimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting beside the road.
47.When he heard that it was Jesus from Nazareth, he shouted, “Jesus, Son of David,[a] have pity on me!”
48.Many people told the man to stop, but he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on me!”
49.Jesus stopped and said, “Call him over!”
They called out to the blind man and said, “Don’t be afraid! Come on! He is calling for you.”
50.The man threw off his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus.
51.Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man answered, “Master,[b] I want to see!”
52.Jesus told him, “You may go. Your eyes are healed because of your faith.”
Right away the man could see, and he went down the road with Jesus.

Everyone alive would always expect a good thing to come his or her way. The Christians pray for God's blessing and favours to come their way. Nobody would ever have an expectation of bad thing.

Thus, the scripture too backs up that the expectation of the righteous cannot be cut off

This therefore implies that every living being has an exception of something good. Even someone that is ill, has an expectation that he will be healed. i.e he'll be visited by healing.

Going down memory lane, I remember those days when my dad who was working at a railway station in Enugu calls home that he's coming home for weekend. On that single call, everyone in the house must adjust and try to keep things in place so as to create a good impression for my dad. I myself had always washed my clothes and pressed it inside a box because that will be what my dad will call for inspection. My bedding, slippers and room has to be arranged if not, my dad will deal with me.
That's an aside, but should I chose to relate this to the topic of this piece, you would agree that there's something that has to be done by an individual in anticipation for a visitation. Even an expectant woman who is anticipating a baby always tries to buy baby items while awaiting the delivery of the baby. From the two illustration it is worthy of note of the following because If the people could do this for earthly visits, how about Christians.

Things we must remember to do to keep yourself positioned

1.You must always pray that you don't miss the position because it matters a lot. imagine if someone came with a million dollar cheque for you only to be told that you'd left the position that you'd been waiting all these days, weeks, month or perhaps year.
2.You must pray God to position you with capacity: this is very important because they are people who lack the capacity to handle some blessings like financial, leadership and others. Thus, God chooses to keep such blessings away from them till they have the maturity and capacity to handle such. Eg. Imagine handing a blade to a two year old kid to trim her nails, you know that the child would likely hurt or harm himself with that.

Note
1.Blind Batimaeus had the capacity to receive the healing.
2.The blind man position himself where Jesus gonna pass by.
3.He was blind but wasn't deaf. Others had eyes and ears all intact but didn't attract Jesus. Selah

So brothers and sisters, in as much as your prayers are for God's visitation, you must add that God should increase your capacity as well. Thank you for your time. Do have a great day.
