Parung. A place that has now become a place to gain knowledge for students of Pesantren Media. Precisely in Sawah Tajur, Pemagarsari Village. And this year, Pesantren Media has officially left its old place and started a new page in a new place. Hopefully, with our new place, we will be able to learn and do good deeds.

Today is Saturday. 22 August 2020. Today is a welcoming ceremony for new students for the 2020 academic year. The event starts at 08.00 and ends at 11.30 with lunch as the closing. But this event is not what I want to talk about. Namely, a journey that really tested my patience.

The plan, today I will pick up my friend, Amilah, who arrived in Jakarta today. I'll pick him up at the Damri Bus Terminal in Baranangsiang. I left around 2 in the afternoon. After changing my departure plans, I finally left on my own. Well, I want to try going to the city using city transportation. I thought.

I went out to the Parung highway between Abdullah on a loan motorbike from Ustadz Ahmad. After that, I stopped angkot 06. Because it was the first time, before boarding, I asked the driver, "To the station, no?". When he said yes, I just entered. I asked the driver, "How much does it cost to arrive at the station?". He said, "Rp. 7,000 ". after that I just realized, it turns out that the distance from Parung to Bogor is a very far city.

After sitting for a long time on angkot 06, I finally got off near the Merdeka terminal. After that, I entered angkot 03 to Baranangsiang.

What I don't like the most is when the angkot is trending. Ngetem is when the angkot stops and waits for passengers. Usually when the angkots are stuck, the road around the angkot is bound to get jammed. This public transportation that I am riding, stops and resting in front of the station. As can be seen, the road in front of Bogor City Station is very congested. At that time too, the sun was hot. In the metal car, I and other passengers repeatedly wiped our sweat with tissue. Whoa, it tastes really baked.

After the angkot is a little full, then he starts walking again. Alhamdulillah, finally there was wind too. So it doesn't get too hot anymore. Just for a moment, I immediately saw a thick beginning hanging in the sky of Bogor City. My watch has shown half past 4.

Then it rained slowly. Initially only rinai-rinai-rinai rain fell. But over time, the amount of water that decreased was getting bigger. Amilah told me that the damri bus she was riding was about to enter Bogor City.

Finally I got off in front of Damri Bus Terminal. Because of the rain, I immediately ran into it. I repeatedly called Amilah because I never met face to face with her. The atmosphere at the stop was indeed very busy. Especially with the rain that made many people take shelter in this place too.

Finally we were met with the call still connected. We laughed together and hung up the call. I helped Amilah carry the stuff. It's still raining outside. I thought about hiring a taxi. But I don't know how much it costs. What is clear is that it will drain my umku bag later.

Because of that, I decided to just take an angkot. Even though with a large and heavy luggage. We immediately took angkot 03.
Time has shown the time of Asr Prayer. I returned to thinking of plans to stop somewhere for prayers. I decided we would stop at a mosque near Laladon Terminal.

But not according to my plan, the angkot stopped before the mosque. Wow, just walking is easy. But because we were carrying heavy items, and it was raining, we decided to continue the journey first. Hopefully we will get home before Maghrib.

Then we took angkot 32 after I bought mineral water. While sitting in the angkot is our resting time. We sat in the corner of the vehicle to enable us to store our belongings. While chatting and leaning back, I checked the map on my cellphone. Wow, the path we are going to go through has a red line in several places. The red color on the line indicates that the line is congested and possibly jammed. I put my trust in Allah.

We stopped the public transportation at the intersection to Yasmin. Then we took angkot 06 to Parung. The journey will be quite long. After storing the suitcase in the corner of the angkot, we sat down and tried to rest again.

On the way, the volume of water that drops is increasingly becoming. The rain became very heavy. I texted Umi to pick us up in front of the road later. The rain was very heavy and the roads became flooded. Not high like the floods in Jakarta, but enough to make our clothes wet.

We got off in front of the road. I lifted Amilah's suitcase in front of my stomach. It's tough. But I'm used to lifting heavy things. I once lowered a container full of books from the narrow, circular staircase of my house. Because of this, this suitcase feels lighter and easier.

We took shelter in the mosque. Azan Maghrib has reverberated. But my hijab was already wet to the knees. We cannot enter the mosque. Moreover, I had to cross water that was as high as my thighs to meet Umi who was passing through the mosque. After asking Umi to turn the car, we finally got into the car and made the inside of the car runny. But I am relieved that this is the end of our journey. It's raining very hard this afternoon. Until it caused the rushing water to the knee earlier. Amilah's shoes were even dragged by the water and she had to let them go because I was sure that those light sandals must have drifted onto the highway.

This trip taught me the meaning of patience. I have to face every test that comes with trust in Allah. Even though during the day I kept wiping my sweat which kept flowing, even though in the afternoon my body was caught in the rain and my clothes were half soaked, if I was patient and tawakkal, God willing, everything wouldn't feel heavy.

This trip may be forgotten by bigger events at a later date. But I believe, if I read this article again, the memories will appear again and make me smile remembering them.
