Wow... thank you for putting this together; certainly one of the top-10 most inspirational posts I've seen, in my time on Steemit. Re-Steeming!

Beyond the many excellent points you've made here, Steemit is (accidentally, or by ingenious design?) a superb "practice ground" for moving towards a brighter future.

How so? Think about it: We are "learning" how it actually feels good to help others out through upvotes, follows and comments. We are building community across a huge spectrum of origins... but what we all have in common is that it "feels good, and feels right" to give that upvote and see some person benefiting 7 cents or 7 dollars from such a small simple act....

.... "simple," on the surface... but we come away feeling better, and the person receiving also feels better... and that little bit of "better" makes them fractionally more likely to engage in a kindness of their own... and like many raindrops can fill a bucket, so we create a movement.
