HOW CAN WE SUCCEED IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR ENEMIES?

We can succeed in the presence of our enemies if we can do the folloWing things:

(1) BY PRAYING FOR SUCCESS:
By praying for success in our lives continually, instead of wasting our prayer time, asking for the death of our enemies like the mother and daughter, who asked for the head of. John the Baptist instead of asking for the good things of life from the king:

And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced and pleased Herod and them that sat with him the King said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatever thou wilt and I will give it thee And he swore unto her, whatever thou shall ask of me I will give it thee unto the half of my kingdom. And She went forth, and said unto her mother, what shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist (Matt 14: 6-1 1) and (Mk 6. 22-24).

What a wonderful Opportunity of receiving great riches but lost in the above bible passage, all because of hatred for a fellow human being like us! This is how many people are losing great opportunities of riches daily in their prayer lives by praying for their enemies to die because that is what they want Paul, knowing the importance of praying for success in our lives said in the bible:

Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer. and supplication with thanksgiving let your requestbe made known unto God (Phil 4: 6).

Therefore, I would like to tell you that if you want success in your life, try and take time off daily to pray for the good things you want from God because the bible says, 1f you ask you will receive (Mt 7: 7) Y.ou can pray for wisdom and divine direction, which will make you go to the right place at the right time. Prayer can also make you take the right decision, which can guarantee better success in life:

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who, gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him ( James 1 5).

It is not advisable .to start a business. just because your friend is succeeding in that line of business, but it is always better to pray and ask if that kind of business is in line with the divine will of God for your life, otherwise God will divinely show you a better business. Prayer changes things and situations for good.

Also, praise in addition to prayer can bring results faster, especially when you are thanking God in advance for whatHe is about to do. The outcome is usUally great Although many people can or do succeed Without prayers good success comes only from seeking God.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observed to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt haue good success : (Joshua 1.8).

(2) By palannin for success for our lives:
People usually ask if it is every plan of a man that succeeds. The answer is NO. But it is also true that it is not every plan “that a man makes that fails So it is better for us to make many plans so that if some fail, some would succeed. It is better to plan than not to plan at all. If anyone who does not plan succeeds, either by divine intervention or favour, he or she still needs to plan to sustain or retain the success. It is very important that you plan to succeed or to retain the success you have got. As my respected great man of God Bishop Dr David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church Worldwide (WINNERS CHAPEL) would always say, “Those who fail to plan have planned to fail” Therefore, planning is one of the inevitable ingredients needed in the field of success. Our refusal to plan is an indication that we are ready to fail, but God forbid.

(3) By working hard for success.
After prayers and planning, we must work out our plans to get what we want from life because success. is not always foimd on a platter Of gold but found easier through hard work. Even Jesus, our saviour worked, and this is what he said:

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, I work (John 5:1 7).

What this means is that we need to work and I can tell you that there is dignity in labour. For the bible Says that:

Any man who would not work should not eat (2Thess3:10).

So there is no food and success for a lazy man just as it is also recorded in Proverbs.

.....Yet a little sleep, a little Slumber and a little
folding of hands to sleep; So shall thy poverty come... (Proverbs 6:10-11).

Paul, knowing the importance of working'and minding out business, which he believes can lead to our success in life, Said:

That you also aspire to lead a quiet life to mind your own business and to work with your own hands . as we commanded you (1 Thess 4.1 1).

The fact is that many Christians today are too lazy to be successful (rich). Some people, when they wake up in the morning, look at the weather and say, 'the weather today is too cold. I will wait for the sunshine before I will be able to do any work'. Then When the sun is up, they would complain again that the sun is too hot and that the sun should go down before they do any work. And when the sun is finally gone down, they will now say that the day is over, that they Will do the work the following day. That of course, is procrastination which is a very easy way of inviting poverty. Such people believe only in strong prayers without work:

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only (James2. 24).

You must have something doing for God to bless because the bible says “I will bless the work of your hands”. In Matthew chapter 14 verses 19_20, Jesus Christ started to feed more than five thousand people with tWo fishes and five loaves which were available at the time. Therefore you can start doing Something with the little money in your hand or the energy God has given to you. The fact is that, for goodness and mercy to follow you, you must be moving and doing something. Such people may not know that it is written in the bible, that faith without work is dead. Therefore for what you have faith in to come to reality, it is advisable for you to accompany your faith with work, for the bible says:

They that sow in tears shall reap in Joy (Ps 126: 5).

We must therefore work or sow, knowing that in due season we shall reap what we have laboured for with our hands. Even though by virtue of opportunity you became successful without working hard for it, you cannot afford tocontinue being lazy. If you want to remain a successful person, you must work because successful people are not known to be lazy. Successful people do not sleep all day long without working to sustain their positions.

(4) BY WAITING FOR IT:
Why wait? We wait because the day We plant a seed is not the same day we harvest its fruit. So after we have prayed planned and worked, we must wait It means having patience or endurance, hoping continually (Ps 71:14).

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and later rain.(James 5:7).

So please do not run away before it is time for you to harvest.
