Synopsis: A group of super villains locked up in a maximum security prison, are sent to the island of Corto Maltese to complete a very dangerous mission.
THE GOOD:
The characters, here we have a very good number of team members and we can perceive the great charisma that everyone has and enjoy the interaction between them. My favorites were Polka-Dot Man, Peacemaker and of course King Shark. Director James Gunn has us used to bringing us unknown characters and making the audience love them, as happened in Guardians of the Galaxy.
The soundtrack is tremendous, another feature of Gunn's cinema and here it is exposed again.
The film is violent and visceral . This is something we needed to see in the DC universe, and I think a Suicide Squad movie works best with this adult rating, because then you can get more out of the characters' characteristics and take more advantage of their abilities.
The action sequences are very good, the photography and visual effects are up to the task.
The humor in the film is very good, it is a well-achieved satire.
THE BAD:
-I love Margot Robbie playing Harley Quinn, but in this film I think they did not know what to do with her, they had to give her a leading role, but she felt forced and several scenes in which she appears, could easily be cut and nothing changed in the story.
The story is generic, it is not the strength of the film, it is simply an excuse to unite the characters in a mission.
The film worked best with the plot of a mission to overthrow a government, but already the tone it takes in the last act with a certain villain ⭐, moves away from the tone that caught me at the beginning of the film.
In short, a pleasant surprise, it is not perfect, but it is a fresh air to superhero cinema and it is very entertaining.
