$250 million worth of cryptocurrency seized in UK | CryptoSlate
This is not the first time the authorities have cracked money laundering using crypto. In fact, going by the numerous number of cases reported thus far, it appears that that it is much easier to trace money laundering through blockchain than the other traditional methods.
These successful seizures are proof that the often repeated assertion, "Crypto money laundering is hard to trace," is without any basis.
Of course, privacy coins are much harder to trace and probably not traceable at all. But that is for the professionals who are bent on criminal activities and if criminals get smart we expect the authorities responsible for busting criminal activities to get smarter.
If not, why are we paying our taxes? We don't pay taxes for them to lament and moan like spoilt children. Take on the challenge guys, would you?

"The detectives on this case have worked tirelessly and meticulously to trace millions of pounds worth of cryptocurrency suspected of being linked to criminality and now being laundered to hide the trail," said Deputy Assistant Commissioner Graham McNulty in a statement.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Graham McNulty sounds as if his officers have done something over and above their duty by working "tirelessly and meticulously." We expect you to work "tirelessly and meticulously" for the salary being paid out of our taxes, dude. Just for the records, we too earned our salaries by working tirelessly and meticulously!
