Timpan is one of the traditional cakes originating from the Aceh region, this one cake including the type of wet cake made from basic materials of sticky rice and plantain. In it usually there are various variants of content such as grated coconut or srikaya. This store is one of the most famous traditional food in Aceh, and is often served as the main menu during the holidays.

For people of Aceh would have been familiar with this type of cake. This is because, this timpan cake is a traditional cake of Aceh that has been inherited and has become a hereditary tradition among the people of Aceh. This is generally soft textured cake and wrapped in banana leaves, where the stuffing is using jackfruit, srikaya and some are using durian (depending on taste).

The first thing to make a saffani timpan is to make srikaya first. The srikaya ingredients consist of chicken eggs, granulated sugar, thick coconut milk, cumin (fine), vanilla / cinnamon. While the dough ingredients only glutinous rice flour. The dough can also be mixed with ground pumpkin / pumpkin, banana, or cassava. Appropriate taste desired.
