AirDrop Campaign update
First things first - we would like to repeatedly thank everyone who participated in the Digipulse AirDrop referral campaign and helped us achieve a larger community. As we know, in crypto, a substantial community opens up many doors, including to greater exposure and exchanges.
As much as we appreciate everyone's patience with the AirDrop distribution, the main problem of the token distribution process is this: there are currently too many scammers and fake accounts that participated in the campaign.
Just because this is somewhat of a normal occurrence in the crypto-sphere, doesn't mean that we, as a sustainable business practice have to adhere to these rules; we refuse to drop our tokens into fake accounts, to individuals who have no clue what our service is about and risk endangering our community's token value just to oblige scammers. The potential backlash is nothing compared to a mindless token distribution.
Here's an example from the first batch of tokens that we sent out on April 28. We can only be 99.9% certain, but it sure looks like individuals abusing the token airdrop system as such. This transaction clearly shows a wallet owner transferring tokens from their multiple wallets (the middle 'From' column) to their main wallet (the right hand 'Quantity' column), a.k.a - campaign abuse.
Full overview of transactions here.
And this person is not alone. Just in the first token distribution round we've seen numerous participants later transfer their tokens to a single address. See other examples here, here, here and here.
In retrospect, should we have foreseen this and implemented measures in place? Absolutely. But here we are, and this is the approach we chose to best protect our community, token and ultimately business interests.
The Solution
To avoid further scams, we have decided to set up an AirDrop campaign verification platform, where participants will be able to verify their identities via their social media accounts. We are keen to give tokens to those who see their value and would actually use them, but as stated above, we will not deal with scammers.
Estimated timeline
Since launching the service is currently the team's top priority, the verification platform will be set up during this summer. The service launch date is set to July 1st.
All participants who signed up for the bot, will receive instructions to finalise their participation once the AirDrop verification platform goes live. We will send the tokens out, but for the reasons stated above, that will happen gradually.
We would also kindly request that all AirDrop related questions to be discussed in a designated group or sent to hello@digipulse.io and not discussed in our main Telegram group, to prevent all other users from being needlessly spammed.
For all Airdrop related queries, please see our previous post and official guidelines.
Am in support of this, scammers need to be dealt with so that genuine supporters and the entire community will continue to support the project
This is a SCAM projects, please be aware
