Mahabalipuram

Place - Mahabalipuram, Chennai.

Group of monuments which is located from south of chennai about 60 kms in the east coast called as Coromandal coast, this was built during the pallavas period in 8th and 9th century, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Some monuments were destroyed due to tsumai in old 13th century.

There are several temples such as,
Ratha temples
Mandapas
Structural temples
Rock reliefs.
